Mark Your Calendars!

                       Upcoming Events    Thank you IPPA PTA
a.   General meeting 9/13 at 7pm at CEC.  Dr. Patrick Nolten, Director of Assessment, Research and Evaluation for District 204, presenting a review of yearly progress through test scores for the group of students indentified as gifted/talented and providing insight into the testing process, interpretation of scores and ultimate placement in PA curriculum. 
b.       Science Project Ideas for science fair and iSTEM.  Scullen MS on 9/17 from 8-11am.  Scientists and experts will be available for brainstorming ideas and assist with wording of project questions for maximum impact.  SciTech Museum will be presenting Theatre Science at 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30am. 
c.      Dr. James R. Delisle, noted author, speaker and teacher will be presenting Parenting Precocious Kids on 10/5 at MVHS.  Program starts at 7pm, doors open at 6:15pm.  Tickets available at www.ippapta.eventbrite.com
d.       2nd Annual Fall Chess Tournament on Sunday, 10/23 from 9am – 1pm at NVHS.  Free to IPPA PTA members, $5 to others.  Open to all children through grade 12.  Trophies will be awarded.  Officiated by NVHS Chess Club.
