Beginning Signs of Fall!

Although the air conditioning is still running strong, the signs of spring are all around me. We are back at school, there are mums in my outdoor pots and the Bears are playing their first game of the season! Before long we'll be putting on our warm socks and sweatshirts, turning on the heat and raking leaves! 

The week ahead looks like a pretty busy one at Watts. As you know, we have Curriculum Night on Wednesday evening. I sent home a special invitation to the parents of all my newly qualified PA students to attend an overview of Project Arrow at 6:00 PM that evening. The presentation will only last 25 minutes. If your child is in PA, and you did not have the opportunity to come to last years overview, please be my guest and join us! All are welcome! Please remember to sign up for fall conference with me that evening as well. My conference schedule will follow the same schedule as all classroom teachers.

On Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, we will be administering the CBM'S to every child at our school. As a member of the Support Team I assist with this process. Consequently, I will not be seeing students on those 2 days. There are very few changes made on our grade level pages for the upcoming week. If you have a minute please check your child's page. 

Lastly, please scroll down and retread the IPPA PTA News posted at the end of last week. This organization is a true blessing to all of us involved in Project Arrow. It's parent members are advocates of gifted education...working hard to assure that all our voices are heard, within the district and in Springfield. Please consider joining our PA PTA, and a big Thank you for those who have participated in the past. We greatly appreciate your hard work and dedication!
